Our Mission
Mentorship and Support
The UCSB Graduate Scholars Program mission is to provide a community of diverse doctoral scholars with the academic, professional, and social support systems that will allow them to gain educational and personal success. The ultimate goal is not only to diversify the academic and professional world but also to realize our potential as an inclusive society.
GSP is a comprehensive program designed to provide support, mentoring, and services for all first- and second-year domestic doctoral students. We encourage participation of students from non-traditional backgrounds or who are underrepresented, under-resourced, under-served in the academy.
