About Our Leadership Program
The Leadership Certificate Program is designed to help graduate students strengthen the leadership, communication, and professional skills needed to succeed in graduate school and beyond. Through a pre-session, three interactive virtual workshops, and a final reflection celebration, participants will engage in meaningful discussions, develop practical leadership strategies, and connect with a cohort of fellow graduate students. The program is limited to 25 participants to encourage active participation and meaningful engagement. Participants who attend all five sessions and submit a brief reflection demonstrating their learning and self-awareness will earn a Leadership Certificate.

About Our Facilitator
The Leadership Certificate Program is designed and facilitated by Sara Gupta, a first-generation UCSB alumna (Class of 2002) with a degree in Biochemistry. Sara is the Founder and Principal Coach of StartWise, a coaching and advisory company dedicated to helping individuals, teams, and organizations realize their full potential. Passionate about empowering leaders, Sara is excited to equip UCSB Graduate Students with the skills and confidence needed to lead with clarity and vision.
